The past is obdurate.
The more you try to change it the harder it fights back.
When it’s changed a new timeline is made. A new string.
One or two strings and everything is okay. The more that get added the more confusing it gets. “the sound of too much harmony created by too many strings.”
Time travel is dope. It just is.
Marty McFly and Doc Brown, Dr. Samuel Becket and the Quantum Leap Excelerator, The fifth season of Lost!!!
But this isn’t just a story about time travel or John F Kennedy. It’s rooted in science fiction, but the inbetween is full of heart. Full of characters with wounded pasts. Full of Redemption???
…and the dancing
Did I mention the dancing?
It was also nice to visit with some old friends from Derry.
“For a moment everything was clear, and when that happens you see that the world is barely there at all. Don’t we all secretly know this? It’s a perfectly balanced mechanism of shouts and echoes pretending to be wheels and cogs, a dreamclock chiming beneath a mystery-glass we call life. Behind it? Below it and around it? Chaos, storms. Men with hammers, with knives, men with guns. Women who twist what they cannot dominate and belittle what they cannot understand. A universe of horror and loss surrounding a single lighted stage where mortals dance in defiance of the dark.”

So since reading this and doing the art I finished Tom Perotta’s “The Leftovers” which was also pretty awesome. I’ll be posting the art for that soon.
In the meantime I haven’t started reading anything else. I have a few possibles but nothing that I’m jumping up and down about so please feel free to pass along some recomendations.
